

Baking as treatment for bereavement?
A BBC local radio programme in February showed how the Hospice of St Francis in Berkhamstead is teaching children who have lost a loved one to bake. There is some research basis for this work – it has proven benefits to help people with depression for instance. (Read more)
The radio show showed how young people work together in a kitchen. Two girls told the BBC how no other kids at school really understood their loss, but the children in the kitchen understood each other as they were going through the same issues.
